The PhD in Social Work Program is dedicated to educating graduates who possess the knowledge and expertise for leadership roles in the areas of social work practice, research, the application of theory to practice, human service administration, and social advocacy on behalf of vulnerable populations. Organized around a curriculum that attends to both methodological rigor and issues of social justice, students are also prepared to be producers and disseminators of knowledge through peer-reviewed venues (i.e. conferences presentations, publications, etc.).
