Annual Conference Attendance Policy
Purpose & Scope
Aligned with the Group for the Advancement of Doctoral Education in Social Work’s commitment to providing robust experiences for member institutions and program directors, the following policy has been developed to ensure the GADE Annual Conference remains an event designed by and for program directors.
Attendance Eligibility
Attendance at the GADE Annual Conference is open to the following:
- Social work doctoral program directors/chairs, including assistant program directors/chairs, of GADE institutional members who are current in their membership dues;
- Board of Directors members;
- Advisory Board members; and
- Invited guests from partner organizations.
- Programs may opt to send a delegate on behalf of their program if the director/chair is unable to attend.
- If a program is having a leadership transition, both the incoming and outgoing director/chair may attend.
- GADE Advisory Committee Members are eligible to attend at a free or discounted rate, as approved by the Board of Directors.
- The Board of Directors may opt to invite representatives from partner organizations to attend and/or present.
All attendees and presenters are required to pay registration fees. Any exceptions must be approved by the President.
