DSW Members Programs

Angelo State University

Department of Social Work & Sociology

The first DSW program in the State of Texas. The Doctor of Social Work (DSW) in Clinical Social Work degree program at ASU prepares graduates for advanced clinical practice; as well as for work in higher education and for leadership opportunities in health and human services. The program employs the practitioner-scholar model designed to train DSW graduates for advanced clinical practice. DSW graduates will be able to apply scholarly knowledge in clinical practice across a variety of practice settings and with diverse populations. Further, graduates are prepared to teach social work in higher education (e.g., in BSW and MSW programs), and to take administrative/leadership positions in health and human services.
