Title: Cruising Through the Uncharted Territory of Generative AI Use in Higher Education

This presentation will discuss efforts in developing and disseminating ethical generative AI usage guidance. It will also highlight potential applications and challenges of incorporating generative AI in teaching and research.

Dr. Hsun-Ta Hsu is an associate professor with a joint appointment in the School of Social Work and the School of Data Science and Society. His research examines the multilevel social determinants of health outcomes among individuals experiencing homelessness. As a Core-Faculty Affiliate of the Center for Artificial Intelligence in Society, he has also expanded his research to incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) to understand the health and housing disparities faced by individuals experiencing homelessness. Dr. Hsu’s work has been funded by the CDC and private foundations.
